Reopening Mountain Springs Advanced Dental

COVID Closures Lifted From Colorado Springs Dental Office

May 4th Reopening to Limited Services

Mountain Springs Advanced Dental patients and families,

Thank you for trusting us with your dental needs. We have always used standard best practices for keeping our patients and staff safe from the threat of the transmission of disease. As we look to reopen our doors after the state-mandated period of closure, we want you to know that we are taking extra steps to further keep you, your family dentistry, and our staff safe. Our office will run differently and it will look different as well. We ask your patience with our new protocols and procedures. We would like to familiarize you with these changes prior to your coming into the office. If you have any questions please contact the office. Our front office staff will be glad to answer all your questions.

The first changes you will encounter will take place prior to coming in. When scheduling appointments we will ask a set of screening questions. Please be honest when answering these questions. Prior to every appointment we will email you some new paperwork. This will be required of all patients. We will send this via email and ask that you send it back prior to your appointment time so are staff can review it. Each email will also contain a COVID 19 screening and consent form. We will need one of these for every patient, at least once a month for the foreseeable future.

On the day or your appointment we ask that you wear a mask or other facial covering while in our dental clinic colorado springs. Once you are seated in your treatment room you may remove the covering.  We ask that you do not show up early to your appointment. We will not be able to allow patients to wait in the waiting room in the office. Please call us once you arrive at the building and check in that way. Once your provider is ready our staff will call you to let you know that you may enter the building. We ask that you come alone to your appointment if at all possible. No one else besides the patient will be allowed in the office unless you are a minor or need help physically getting into the building. While being seen we ask that parents and helpers return back to their car to wait. Our staff will come get them, or call them, once your appointment is over.

Once you are in the office we will have a hand sanitizer station. Please use the sanitizer before and after your appointment. We also will have a member of our staff taking your temperature. If you have a reading higher than 99.9° F we will ask you to reschedule your appointment. Our staff will also be having daily temperature checks to ensure that no one who is symptomatic will be present in the office. In order to further prevent any possible cross-contamination we will suspend availability of the coffee machine, water cooler and water fountain. Please bring a water bottle with you to your appointment. Once you are brought back to your treatment room we will have you rinse with OraCare for one minute. This will happen for every appointment.

Our dental office in colorado springs and staff will also look a little different. We have placed plastic door coverings on each of our treatment rooms. This will help lessen aerosols in our office. We have also installed air purifiers in each treatment room. Our staff will be wearing additional barriers as mandated by the government. Our front staff will escort you to the room where you will be met by your provider. When checking out, if you have a co-pay we will still collect at time of service. Our front office will have everything ready for you when you are ready to check out in order to minimize the time you need to spend at the front desk.

Our main goal is to take care of our patients, staff, and our families. We again thank you for trusting us to take care of your dental needs and appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement these new protocols, which are designed for your health and safety. Please also understand that as government rules and regulations change we may need to make further modifications to our protocols.
